I am level 16 and someone from a lower level took my devices, now because they are lower level I can't hack back my own devices, is that intended to be like that or what. I think at least I should be able to take my own devices back no matter what's their level.

My view is that the current behaviour is an integral part of the design.

Firstly, you do not lose your devices forever, just till the force offline finishes, which should be a max of 48 hours and much more likely max of 24 hours.

Secondly, splitting players up by rank range (i.e. zones) is intended to give newer players protection from more experienced players and to give them some advantages.

In order to protect your devices, think about what vulnerabilities are on those devices. Can they be exploited by tech accessible by players in a lower rank range?

Finally if they annoy you too much then they will no doubt either receive the wrath of your lower ranked org-members, or receive their penalty when they get promoted into your rank range.

    Just my 2c.

Firstly, I just checked, and I have a force offline that is going to take over 7 days to finish.

Secondly, many things in the game make it a good choice to have newbie vuls. All level 16+ HE lower defence or have newbie-exploitable bugs, rendering vetrans without much HE. All of the NPC vulnerabilities are also newbie vuls, forcing vetrans to put newbie vuls on they're tech if they want to hack. There is no HS tech until level 19, which means that vetran hacks will either be slow, or even more vulnerable. There is also no level 16+ crack speed tech until level 18, so we would have to gain two levels without cracking with any speed.

Finally, as long as there was a newbie org, they could still have everything vetrans have, so I do not see why they would join into a vetran org. Also, Claudio has never been a big game, so we will probably not get a massive org with players of all ranks.

Thanks for the feedback. That long force offline is definitely a bug, so I will have to work out why that's happening.

You have pointed out that some improvements are required on the tech tree, so I will look at those. This is exactly the kind of feedback required so that we can optimise these issues.

Players in the hacking academy are ejected after just four days. So they will have to join another org or go solo. Not sure what you mean by "they could still have everything veterans have"?

Making c1 a big game is what it's all about!!

The way I see it, currently newbies are more valuable orgmates than pros. They can get back their devs, and can't be attacked by some they attack, so I don't see why they'd join up with people they don't really know, rather than their previous orgmates, who they would have been able to share exp with, and able to talk with on the talk board.

Maybe that's just the way I'd play if there were multiples of me, but I think it's what newbies should do.
