  I noticed that there is some hack defense tech that lowers your hack defense and gives vulnerabilities. Why would you want to be easier to hack and have more vulnerabilities? Or do the hack defense vulnerabilities mean ports that they protect even better?

  1. When you click the hack defense radio button from the technology tab, it sorts to all techs with positive or negative HD. The techs with negative HD boost in some other way, such as Hack effectiveness. Those techs are bad at defending your devices.
  2. Vulnerabilities are bad. Even if it is a HD tech, the vulns will still make your dev easier to hack if those vulns are targeted by the attacker's hacking tech.
