  Setup: I had 4 free renames, 10 device's in a rack.
  Excecution: I clicked the box on top of the rack to highlight all the devs. I chose the action free rename. I hit go. I got an error, but I am not sure which one. I checked back on my devices page, and only 3 devices were renamed, while I had lost 4 renames.

  Tried it with 2 devs in the rack and 11 free renames. Worked fine. We couldnt reproduce it yet. WH thinks its related that he had more devs in the rack than renames.

  There is an intermittent bug around device renames. The error you saw was a deadlock (look it up on Wikipedia). I am working on minimising these occurrences prior to getting a longer term fix.

  The error happened again with one device. I was renaming the devices, and everyone got logged off. I disregarded the error again, but apparently I had lost another rename.

  yes, this will be occasional behaviour until i implement the temp fix tonight

  the temp fix is now in place. let me know if you get any more instances of this problem.
