Every player has a "rank", a measure of how advanced they are in the game.
To increase in rank you must gain Experience Points (XP). You gain XP through your actions in the game and by completing achievements which are set.
Each rank has an XP target you must reach in order to progress to the next rank. As your rank increases you will gain access to new technologies, new hack operations and more functions in the game.
Each time you increase in rank your XP is reset to zero and you have a new XP target to reach to gain the next rank.
The following is a list of the actions in the game that enable you to gain XP. Some actions provide a fixed amount of XP, others transfer to you a percentage of your opponent's XP.
Do not worry if you do not understand every term used, but come back and use this list as a reference when you need it.
